Imagine a place somewhere between the woods and the sea, where there is enough space for the Wilderness and the Wildflowers, where there is room to feel the sun on your skin, the wind tousling your hair, the earth, the sun, and the rain embracing and inspiring you. A place where there’s enough space to wander, to pause, to reflect, and to wonder…
Summer is for flowers—peonies bowing their heavy heads, the butterfly bush beckoning every fluttering butterfly, the hydrangea…
Summer is for dozing in a hammock, when even the crickets and birds have fallen silent.
Summer is for the sea, wandering barefoot along the waves that stretch lazily across the sand.
Summer is for views of slow sunsets, accompanied by crackling fires, strumming ukuleles, and soft singing.
Summer is for sitting on tiny terraces in undiscovered French towns, in the shade, on uncomfortable but oh-so-beautiful chairs.
Summer is for lazy afternoon naps and surrendering to slow, sleepy lovemaking.
Summer is for picnics in your own garden, surrounded by croaking frogs and grass that really should have been mowed.
Summer is for barbecues with friends at long, beautifully set tables, with a bubbly glass of chilled rosé.
Summer is for cozy festivals, dancing freely to rhythmic music—or quietly savoring the moment.
Summer is for new encounters—with people, places, cultures, wishes, and ideas.
Summer is for losing yourself in books, getting swept away to other countries, other cultures, remarkable characters, and beautiful stories.
Summer is for aimless wandering, wonder, and making the most magical discoveries.
Summer is for the warmth of the sun—and the shade, which would not exist without it.
Summer is for ice cream and the impossible task of choosing between all those delicious flavors.
Summer is for refreshing dips in inviting swimming pools, the sea, or a mirror-like lake.
Summer is for strolling in your favorite flip-flops, without haste.
Summer is for sultry, long evenings outdoors, while everything slowly quiets down and the moon finally makes her appearance.
Summer is for beautiful, perhaps even philosophical conversations—about where you are now, where you want to go, and what might be ready for change.
Summer is for gratitude—for everything that’s alive and all the overflowing beauty around us.
Summer is for embracing our freedom, for open arms and sun on bare skin.
Summer is for needing nothing and allowing everything.
Summer is for…
And what about you—what is your summer for?

So beautiful! You’ve captured summer perfectly with all its magic. Summer for me this year is for slowing down and embracing the season. It’s not my favourite so I try to make a conscious effort to see the good in it and enjoy the things I can only enjoy at this time of year.
Such a beautiful tribute to Summer! 💕🌻
